STEP 1: QUIT YOUR DAY JOB

November 12, 2012

Okay, okay, okay, that might seem a little crazy and really, well, far fetched. But seriously. If you want to stop having your dreams be nothing but dreams quit your day job and go do what you've been dreaming of. This past summer I have worked myself to death, with two jobs basically taking up 98 percent of my life, and once fall hit I went from two part time jobs to one full time job. Don't get me wrong, I love being busy. But I'd rather be busy sewing a bow for my hair, or busy setting up photoshoots, not necessarily busy with bussing tables or serving pizza over a counter. Although I must say, I was, and still am extremely grateful for both jobs, because lets face it without a job I wouldn't have money, and without money I wouldn't be leaving. But setting all that aside and moving on...
Last week I decided it was time to let the good ole' pizza job go. I bought a one way plane ticket to Utah, finalized my apartment stuff, and put my two weeks in to quit my day job.
Here I am at one week left of working. As much as there are people I will miss, and goodbyes to be said, I'm glad I won't have that constant nag poking me saying, "When did you become someone who put their dreams on hold?"

So there you have it. My number one rule to making your desires actually real. Quit your day job.

Unless your day job happens to be your dream.
