WEEKEND: EVERYBODY TALKS

NEON TREESNEON TREES
 A little later post:
So, my friday night was spent at one of the best concerts I've been too. Now, I'm not the worlds greatest Neon Trees fan, but when I heard they were playing at the VELOUR, I kinda freaked. They actually canceled their concert at Sundance due to the overpricing of the tickets, and they felt like they wanted to give back to their roots by having the concert here instead. As you can see from the news clip Mark & I were in, Velour is in no means a huge venue, but the atmosphere was perfect. It was actually this very venue that the band performed their first concert. The band was great, and Tyler Glenn, the lead singer was a great performer. I mean I've been to some concerts, where the artists literally will just say something like "Thanks for coming tonight! Alright, heres "blah blah blah" title of the song! Yeah, you guys rock!" But frankly, I felt like they were very real, and extremely funny. If you ever get the chance to see them, go and do it! You won't regret it, I promise.
But the back story of our concert experience...It was our third date and Mark bought the last ticket. Basically that means we were short a ticket. So we waited in line from 6-7 in hopes that someone would be selling an extra one, Mark went around asking people, and still nothing. So, when the news came they actually interviewed us and we talked about our predicament, the manager talked to Mark, and told him if he went to the back of the line and waited again, they would see what they could do. Thankfully, someone ended up selling a ticket back to the counter and he made it in! We seriously had so much fun, and ended the night with Ghirardelli hot cocoa and banana chip cupcakes from my favorite place, THE COCOA BEAN
Cheers to the weekend, and cheers to the Trees.
