THE BRICK OVEN

April 23, 2013

Our last roommate dinner.
This was a very bittersweet moment, and the only thing that came out of my mouth as I sat there, looking at some of my closest friends I have ever known, and some of the most amazing ladies who have changed my life was, "TONIGHT WE FEAST" I guess that gives you a little insight on how I deal with goodbyes, I don't, I avoid them at all costs. But none the less, I seriously had a blast with these girls! It was my first time ever sitting down, and eating at Brick Oven, which is a little over due considering I started serving there in January. Tonight was the perfect chance to celebrate great friendships made, great food, and great accomplishments as my roommates are finishing up with finals, I just got a job promotion, and some other big news that I might share on the blog within the upcoming weeks.
Let me give you the break down on what to eat. I being a great connoisseur of pizza, and all things carbs will gladly enlighten you, and give you the low down on just what to eat at the Brick Oven.
1. Start with a frosted mug of ice cold, home brewed rootbeer.
2. Order the Spinach Artichoke dip, and grab an order of breadsticks while your at it with, "Special Sauce."
3. Next, I highly recommend the Italian Romano pizza, made on the Romano crust.
4. We ended up splitting two pastas, the first: a delicious Chicken Rosemary Tortellini, followed by the creamy Chicken Florentine Farfalle
5. Finish off with a Sasquash, basically heaven in my mouth. It's two chocolate chip cookies, with a brownie baked in the middle, topped with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, and carmel.
The fact that we could walk out of there was a miracle, the food was so delicious and we couldn't stop eating!
Theres nothing more I love than having great friends accommodated by great food.

  3. Saying goodbye isn't a good thing, but if it's for our development, we'll must deal with it. I'm sure the pizza gave you the one last chance to bond with your roommates. It’s these bittersweet moments shared with tasty pizza that will make the memories a lot fonder. :)
