We're all smiles over here, fall is finally deciding she might wanna stick around and settle in. Just like every other girl on the internet, I'm here to tell you that I really love October. From all the good spiced food, drinking hot cocoa like water, the layers&layers&layers, and of course all the festivities like carving pumpkins, last minute costumes, and tons of cozy cuddling. Although I will say - I'm kinda over the whole weather changing on me, I swear it's like a scene out of Jay-Z's Holy Grail. It's my first autumn in Utah, and I really just want her to make up her mind already! On another note, my closet has quickly filled up with jackets, scarves, and tights galore (just incase Big Mamma Nature decides to throw me a curve ball like she did yesterday) I went to Park City for the first time on Sunday and just strolled around historic main street. I felt like I was back home in New York, ice cold rain, humidity, hazy skies, and the lush green trees slowly turning colors.
I couldn't wipe the smile off my face.
Often we run in endless circles, on this giant treadmill, and we don't feel like we're going anywhere, but then we stop. We get off this treadmill of the mundane. We stop and examine. We realize where it is we actually stand.
I stand on solid ground, in love with the man of my dreams. I can't remember the last time a boy could make me laugh so much. I stand in the face of fear, over coming hard things. I stand surrounded by good people, people who make this life worth living. I stand in the heart of life. I stand in the center of opportunity. I was running on that treadmill for September and I was in need of changing gears. Thank goodness for that too. I've been really into minimalism lately, now for me this isn't just a fad. It's a movement. We need to simplify our lives, and I've been doing lots of that recently. October so far has been the start to so many things, like not eating out, getting all 8 hours of sleep and making weekly calendar's. Simple goals, small goals, one step at a time, has led to real & great things.
We're nothing but smiles over here because life is oh so good, and oh so rewarding.
This is beautifully said- loved the captured happy moments!! Love this post so much- stay happy!:)
