WE ARE NOT LUCKY, WE ARE BLESSED

Some days life can seem a little overwhelming, ( I admit, I found myself teary eyed and stuck wearing leggings and oversized sweaters to cuddle up in for a great part of my yesterday ) I can only blame it on one thing, the unwanted cause of coming down from a natural life high. You know, those weekends where everything goes right, you wake up to the sun is shining, no responsibilities claim you, etc. Before you know it, this ideal weekend has gone, I'm back working my 4-11, or in some cases like today 11-10 mundane waitressing job, and I'm wanting more than ever to slip away from adult things like rent, bills, things of that nature and just go home to New York.  I was going through photographs from my weekend, and it hit me, life highs are actually created by one thing: gratitude.  And what proceeds gratitude my friends? Happiness. 
I am ever grateful.  I have so much to applause and praise in my life.  I have more than I could ask for, I have the best of best, the greatest of greats, as do you.   I have my dear Rhett, who I love 1000 times more than words can even begin to start saying, my best friend, and my biggest supporter.   I have a wonderful family, who are some of the most loving, uplifting, and selfless people I know.  We have precious people in our lives that mean so much; celebrate them, serve them, and love them. We often blame life for our deck of cards handed to us, for our bad days, for our misfortunes, for our mundane and regular day by day routine, when often we need to get out of our own way, pick ourselves up, and actively search out for the good in what we have been so generously blessed with.  Life is not easy, and some days will be spent teary eyed, but that does not mean that our days have to stay that way. I'm not saying to be fake, or to be something your not, I'm saying to explore yourself, your life, and find what is good and celebrate it. My heart is full, my heart is happy.  We are not lucky, we are blessed.
